With the first quarter of the year having officially drawn to a close, Hyperion-backed Ranger Fire and Security has has already completed the acquisitions of five new fire and security businesses.
The companies acquired so far this year span the South West, South East as well as the North East, the West Midlands and the North West, as Ranger strengthens its existing presence in the north of the UK and continues to expand in the south.
With multiple acquisitions already having been completed across a wide range of locations, Hyperion and Ranger are continuing to further their mission to build the UK and Ireland’s leading one-stop-shop for all fire and security needs.
With Hyperion’s backing, Ranger’s portfolio now includes 18 fire and security businesses across both markets, with the number of companies under the Ranger umbrella continuing to grow at a rapid pace.
Since launch, Hyperion and Ranger have prioritised partnering with organisations that mirror their own commitment to providing high quality services, bringing together trusted industry specialists under the Ranger umbrella. As more like-minded companies have joined, the cross-selling opportunities have continued to grow at pace while increasing Ranger’s capacity to provide services on a national scale.
Over the past two years, Hyperion has worked to expand Ranger’s footprint significantly, increasing the numbers of businesses in its portfolio while – through its ‘local hero’ model - helping to preserve the recognition and local leadership in those companies that has made them the respectable local businesses that they are.
Paul Mahon, Partner at Hyperion Equity Partners, said: “Since launching in 2024, Ranger has gone from strength to strength, building a strong reputation for bringing on board only the best fire and security specialists."
“With the fire and security industry often suffering from being too fragmented and limiting a company’s growth potential, Ranger is bringing together the UK and Ireland’s leading businesses to share resources and knowledge, grow and ultimately provide customers with a best-in-class service.”
Ranger’s 2026 acquisitions include:
Partnership Fire & Security - South West-based company serving 3,000 customers across Shaftesbury, Dorset and the South Coast, specialising in new build developments, as well as a full-time alarm servicing department.
Centurion Fire & Security - Security company specialising in maintenance led CCTV, fire and intruder alarms and access control based in Huddersfield.
MarkOne Safety Solutions - MarkOne specialises in design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety and emergency lighting systems for organisations of all sizes from its base in the West Midlands.
Total Fire Group - Bolton-based fire safety consultancy and assessment service working with clients to businesses across the UK.
Fidelity Integrated Systems - Based in Greater London, Fidelity Integrated Systems offers installations, maintenance, callouts and remedials across the capital and the Home Counties.
